Extended Stay - Coming back KL 31/12

Today I had a great lunch & a great dinner, it is because I have recovered and able to resume my original taste bud. I was really eating & feeling hungry and craving for food after at least 3 weeks where I have to depend on Prosure milk for my nuritient. I really enjoy my meals today and I will look for my interesting Japaneses food to try tomorrow.

Just want to inform those friend who has not been informed by me, I will be extending my stay to 31st Jan due to a small complication on my lung due to air leakage, it is fixed now and waiting for recovery before I fly that is why I extending my stay.

Treatment is over!!

Praise The Lord for his mercy for the sucessfully treatment and protection during the treatment. The 5 days of tomotherapy has weaken my body and yet he gave me strength again to go thru another 3.5 hours of needle poking procedure and another day of culture cell infusion. It was another day of culture cell infusion. It was amazing when God is working on us. It was scarly at first but each time when I call on to Lord for his comfort I went thru each of the needle process, it was a total of 15 needles went thru my skin right into the tumours into my body, the deepest one could be about 3 inches. I could still remember the needle poking pain even right now. But after going thru this, needle poking it's like nothing to me. I was purging for 4 days could not eat, so Doctor suggested to give me an injection, in my mind I was like, "it's easy, come on just do it!"

I had a leakage of air in my lung after the needle on my air in my lung after the needle poke on my right lung, so on the next day, Doctor has to take it out by doing another needle on my chest to pump out the air, I was told to rest for a few more days before I fly back to KL, So I have extended my stay to 31st instead of 27th.

Today we attend a Church gathering at our Hotel for the Christmas celebration and took a short shopping tour at Shijuku, a huge shopping centre. We had a chinese dinner near our hotel and now almost ready to go to sleep.

My appetite is improving, I am able to eat half a portion today. I used to eat just 2 to 3 spoon of rice or noodle in a day. Kelvin was quite worry, keep pushing me to eat.

It another blessing from God that I am able to enjoy a little of sightseeing here while I am resting for recovery before I fly back to KL.

The next treatment 20-21 Dec

We will be leaving Chiba, Daiichi Hotel today and check into the New Otani Hotel in Tokyo city to prepare for my next treatment on 20th & 21st.

I woke up today and having unbearable stomach pain & purging non-stop, this problem existed since Saturday, so we went to Clinic C4 again to have a jap to stop the symptom. 　This is caused by the side effect of tomotherapy according to the Doctor in C4.

When we check in New Otani Hotel today we will have limited access to internet, therefore I may not update my blog as often as I could do in Chiba.

Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ, I would like to request for prayer for my treatment tomorrow. Please pray for God to prepare my heart, give me peace & calm. And during the treatment from 9am to 5pm, protect me & cover me in all situations, pray for the wisdom for the Doctor & nurses to handle the procedure smoothly, sucessfully, pray for no complication and everything will be finished accordingly without much suffering on me, pray that Lord will comfort me & give me confidence, give me strength. Pray for God's mercy upon me always.

Yesterday I attended my friend's Christmas Party at her Church called Hope Church, they have a great band & many good singers. The crowd is about 300, it was a pot blessed party, the church members brought a lot of varieties of food, it was just mouth watering. There was also performance from the children, youth and music performance. We had some games in between two. It was fun & enjoyable, the party finished at 3:30pm. I was tired and having stomach pain & purging after coming back to the hotel so I did not eat my dinner just had a little bit of plain porridge to ease the stomach pain.

REST DAY!

TODAY WHEN I WOKE UP AT 7:30AM, I OPEN THE WINDOW & SAW THE BRIGHT SUNNY DAY. I FELT GOOD DESPITE WITH THE TIRENESS YESTERDAY. I THOUGHT MAY BE I COULD HAVE SLEPT ENOUGH, THAT'S WHY I HAVE STRENGTH. OF COURSE IT'S ALSO GOD'S WILL TO ALLOW ME TO WALK AROUND AND TAKE SOME PICTURE AND HAVE SOME INTERESTING FOOD.

WE MET A RETIRED JAPANESE MAN NAMED TANAKA SAN, HE IS THE FOUNDER OF TANAKA PRODUCTS OF JAPAN, HE USED TO TRAVEL TO MALAYSIA, EAST MALAYSIA & SINGAPORE TO MARKET HIS PRODUCTS. HE GAVE US SOME CATALOGUE TO BRING BACK IN CASE WE CAN SELL FOR HIM, HE CAN BE CONTACTED. HE RECOMMENDED SOME INTERESTING SEAFOOD FOR USE, LIKE FISH EGG, SMALL ABALONE, SOME FISH, IT'S NOT COSTLY AS COMPARED TO MALAYSIA. RM60 FOR ONE PIECE OF ABALONE, IT'S FRESH FROM THE SEA. IT'S CHEAPER THAN A BOWL OF PORK NOODLE IN JAPAN. WE WILL NOT KNOW THIS IF WE HAVE NOT MET THIS GUY. I BELIEVE THIS IS THE BLESSING FROM GOD TO US.

WHEN I FEEL WELL, I REALLY ENJOY THE STAY HERE WHEN I FELT SICK, I JUST CAN'T WAIT TO GO HOME. LAST NIGHT AS I WAS SUFFERING FROM MY SIDE EFFECT, I JUST FEEL LIKE TELLING KELVIN TO PACK & GO HOME. IT WAS VERY HOME SICK WHEN I AM NOT WELL. BUT IT WAS A BLESSING TODAY I FELT SO GOOD AND EVEN NOW, I JUST FEEL TIRED & SLEEPY.

TOMORROW I HAVE AN EXCITING PLAN AGAIN, MY FRIEND SACHIKO WILL PICK US AT OUR HOTEL TO ATTEND A CHRISTMAS PARY AT HER CHURCH. IF I FEEL WELL AGAIN SHE PROMISE TO DRIVE ME AROUND FOR SIGHT SEEING.

I JUST WANT TO PRAY FOR GOD TO PROVIDE GOOD WEATHER AGAIN TOMORROW GIVE ME THE STRENGTH TO WALK AROUND IN GOOD HEALTH CONDITION.

Last day of my Tomotherapy treatment

Dear friends & relatives,

Finally this is the 5th day of my tomotherapy treatment, I felt relief and with a little fear I have to move on to the 2nd treatment on 20th, that will be needle treatment. I don't want to think about it now but will pray & ask Lord to prepare my heart on that day.

Yesterday I had a good time at my friend (Sachiko)'s house, I have cooked the ABC soup, stew pork, grill fish & some crab. We bought so much of things just cost us RM120, we can cook a meal for 4 adults & 3 children, it's very cheap to cook, also we could get fresh food.

Tomorrow I will sleep & rest, 18th will be attending Christmas party at Sachiko's Church. We will get to see how Japanese celebrate Christmas here in Chiba. We were also invited by Chapel Church in Tokyo for their Christmas party on 23rd. It's seasoning time, celebration every where, but over they do not have much decoration as we have in M'sia or Singapore. We don't really feel the Christmas atmosphere in Japan.

Treatment - 2nd day

Second day is over, it was not as bad as yesterday. May be I had a good rest yesterday, my treatment started late at 2pm, everything went smoothly and I did not had any side effect today. I feel like taking a walk with the sunny, cozy weather, we decided to walk to take a train that saved us RM100. The train ride is just one station away, 130 yen (RM5.50). On the way back I found a chinese restaurant that serves fried rice, mixed veg, dumpling and a bowl of noodle, all these only cost us 1450 yen (RM60), the cheapest dinner we ever had so far.

My Japanese friend Sachiko has drove us to the clinic today & she has to leave us there coz' she need to pick up her 2 sons from bus stop at 3:30pm. She always bring with her a 1 year old son, Taichi, very cute and healthy baby, he can eat as much as I eat, 2 pieces of pizza and some noodles. He likes to play with my husband. Tomorrow Sachiko is going bring us to her house to cook dinner, I suggest to cook her some Malaysian dish, she said she like bakut teh but you can't get any herbs here so may be I will cook soya sauce stew port for her and I will cook ABC soup.

So much for now, I will update the fun again tomorrow.

Treatment Started

Dear friends & relatives,

I know a lot of you are waiting for my update, it is not because I am not well but due to the limitation of internet usage. It is available but chargeable at a very high rate, so we waited till we moved to this Daiichi Hotel which is out of the city where we can use it free. Things here also much more cheaper. Imagine we have to pay a meal of RM320 for 2 persons and this is the cheapest place we found at the basement area. The buffer breakfast is RM120, lunch is RM200, dinner350 per person. These are the simple normal buffer we have in KL and the variety of dishes are much lesser. The fruits here are mostly apple, fuji apple, etc. and it is not cheap, RM12 to RM20 for 1 apple. Taxi is very very expensive, starting charge is already RM32, go by meter... easily RM80-RM100 for a very short distance.

Today we are at Daiichi Hotel, will be staying till 19th before we check out to the city again. I have receive my first session of Tomotherapy (precised radiation), I vomited immediately after the session finished. They gave me a dose of anti-vomit medecine which will last me for a week. I feel better after that and able to eat a little. I feel tired and sleepy, so I slept for the whole day. I have bought a travel cooker yesterday and will try to cook noodle with some veg to eat for dinner tonight. Yesterday I bought a piece of salmon and some veg, I cooked porridge and placed the salmon and veg on top, it was a wonderful dinner I had last night. There is a big shopping mall about 10 mininutes walk away where we can buy a lot of fresh fresh, meat and veg. I have problem in walking too long due to my breathing difficulty, so I guess Kelvin has to do the walking most of the time. He seems to be having good time, enjoying the food here.

My Tomotherapy will have 4 more days to go. I hope I will feel better tomorrow. God will have mercy to refresh my strength and help me to go through this difficult time.

God has always been good to me, I met a friend (ex-sunway JDE Consultant), Alvin Yeo with his wife bringing his father in-law there for the same treatment, we met at the ICVS Clinic in the city. They were here for 2 weeks already, going back today to KL. It was a blessing to know more detail of the treatment process from Alvin`wife (a doctor) and also Alvin has shown us where to get cheaper food rather than eating in the hotel for expensive food. And in Daiichi hotel here we have a friend Sachiko which is a Church friend introduced by Yukiko of DUMC. She has been driving me and showing us around whenever we need help. We were also invited for their Church Christmas party on the coming Sunday.

Activities in Japan

we arrived Narita Airport yesterday 6:30pm Japan time,1 hour earlier. I was fine on the plane except during take off & landing, my breathing became difficult when pressure change. As I was praying to God, I started to breath out using my mouth and that actually ease my breathing, thank you for his guidance.

We had our dinner at the airport coz' I was hungry & tired. It was very expensive as compared to the noodle house at our hotel, I just had a simple noodles and it cost me Rm35. when we eat again hotel, 2 sets of dinner costs RM40.


We took a taxi from airport to our hotel within 30 min cost us RM600!!.
Today I had my consultation, CT planning for the treatment on next Monday. I have Japanese friend it was introduced by Church member, Yukiko of DUMC Church. She is our translator, she waited for us & drove us around with her 1 year old baby, the boy is so adorable! We had great italian lunch and bought some fruits before we go back to hotel.
